I photograph the tension before the first note, the light cutting through haze, the movement, the crowd and the split-second gestures that disappear immediately after they happen. Concert photography is not studio photography moved onto a stage. There are three-song limits, changing light, no second takes and moments that disappear in a fraction of a second. My job is to anticipate them.
